One story from Greek
Mythology tells us that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, (identified with Venus by the Romans) was born from the white foam produced by the severed genitals of her
father Uranus (Heaven), after his son Cronus threw them into the sea. Really
the female embodiment of sexual love and the generative powers of nature arose
from some balls and water? What about goddess mama?
In
this revision the goddess springs from her mother’s belly (hip? womb?) perhaps
after a chance encounter with a sexy octopus under a pomegranate tree.
